
Who are we?
Fridge Theatre – مسرح الثلاجة is a Palestinian non-governmental organization licensed by the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Culture and was established in 2019, it is a mobile puppet theater, which presents its theatrical performances with issues of educational and psychological schemes in parks, squares, schools and kindergartens. Fridge theatre performs its’ shows with a new type of theater and puppets displayed for the first time in Palestine, where it uses hand-carved hanging wooden dolls, and the wooden palace is used as a theater, as well as the method of presenting the interactive theatrical show that makes children and the audience in general part of the theatrical show and participants in the events of the play, which raises the enthusiasm of children, their attraction and involvement in the work. In addition to the theatrical performances offered by the Fridge Theatre, it offers workshops for the manufacture of various types of dolls, animation filmmaking workshops with children and adults, and folk tales shows for children and adults as well.
Fridge Theatre is a unique cultural organization of like-minded practitioners and specialists in drama and theatre. Membership combines the benefits of a nurturing social community with timely and relevant quality programs, fast response, high impact collaboration and partnerships, and strategic interventions and initiatives.
Fridge Theatre believes that theatre and drama can positively influence the children and youth to create a change in their society. Therefore, it works to inspire Palestinian children and youth in general and those in Hebron in particular to try out and to develop creative and constructive reactions to the challenges in their daily lives. Fridge Theatre works in the field of youth theatre and drama education in the Palestinian Territory.

Our Mission
The Fridge Theatre is a non-profit organization established in 2019 based in Beit Awa / Hebron – Palestine. It seeks to raise the level of internal peace among Palestinian children in general and in Hebron governorate in particular, develop their spirit of creativity, encourage them to express themselves, and their ability to challenge the circumstances surrounding them through the arts in general and puppet theater in particular, and bring about positive change in society and build partnerships with local and regional institutions.
