Theatrical performances with issues of educational and psychological schemes in parks, squares, schools and kindergartens. Fridge theater performs its’ shows with a new type of theater and puppets displayed for the first time in Palestine, where it uses hand-carved hanging wooden dolls, and the wooden palace is used as a theater, as well as the method of presenting the interactive theatrical show that makes children and the audience in general part of the theatrical show and participants in the events of the play, which raises the enthusiasm of children, their attraction and involvement in the work.

"Secret of the Lamp" Play

The play “The Secret of the Lamp” revolves around two households: the family home of the tall and humorous “Zareef”, and the residence of the thief of the magical Lamp. Coincidence comes into play when Lena, Zareef’s daughter, ends up possessing the magical Lamp. Just as she is about to realize her dreams and wishes, which she passionately pursues – one of them being to have a bicycle like her brother Omar – Lena loses the Lamp. Thus, begins her journey to search for it, overcoming challenges with the assistance of the audience. Along the way, she discovers that through her determination and inner strength, she can achieve her desires without relying on a magical lantern or external powers. The play tackles themes of girls’ rights, as well as the right of children to play in safe spaces. It also addresses the rights of Palestinians to basic necessities of life, freedom of movement, and the right to mobility.

"Mr. Lion and the Apple Thief" Play

The story revolves around a group of animals living in the forest, with a single fruitful apple tree. It is strictly forbidden for anyone to pick its apples as they are considered the seed for the upcoming season. However, one morning, the animal community is taken aback when the apple is nowhere to be found. The animals gather to investigate the theft. The objective of the show is to educate children about the importance of telling the truth, refraining from lying, and avoiding theft.

"Omar's nightmare" Play

The play “Omar’s Nightmare” unfolds between the realms of dreams and reality. It centers around the Zareef Al-Tool family, comprising Zareef Al-Tool himself, his wife Fatima, their son Omar, and their daughter Lena. The family encounters a series of conflicts and challenges, particularly between the children of Zareef Al-Tool. These difficulties are overcome with the assistance of the audience, leading the characters to realize that they cannot exist without one another and their family. They come to understand the significance of each individual’s role and contribution within the family unit.

Our Company

The Fridge Theater is a non-profit organization established in 2019 based in Beit Awa / Hebron – Palestine. It seeks to raise the level of internal peace among Palestinian children in general and in Hebron governorate in particular, develop their spirit of creativity, encourage them to express themselves, and their ability to challenge the circumstances surrounding.
